Over time it has been made from lots of materials such as flax, bamboo, hemp, and quite a few more. Today it is mostly made from wood and recycled paper fibres. It also contains a notable amount of grass fibres hence the name.
So what is the difference between paper grass and normal paper? Normal paper production causes a lot of environmental issues. A few examples include the takeover of land for mass tree planting, air and water pollution, and not enough being recycled. It's estimated around 80% end up in landfills. The lengthy decomposition process pollutes the air.
With paper grass, it is much more green. The production process uses less natural materials therefore it has less of an effect on the environment. In addition to this, it can also be used for composting as it is biodegradable.
